What Are Basengreen LiFePO4 Batteries?

 

At Basengreen Batteries, we manufacture deep cycle lithium batteries that utilize the most stable lithium chemistry on the market: lithium iron phosphate, more commonly known as LiFePO4. Our battery line is comprised of battery models that are used most often in deep cycle applications to discharge and recharge over time.  

 

 

• 12V LiFePO4 Battery

It is our flagship battery. It is designed to work in RVs, golf carts, boats, and on off-grid setups. 12V battery with internal heating capabilities comes with an enable switch and the necessary wires so that you can enable and disable your heated battery from anywhere in your system. It incorporates a proprietary, low draw technology to keep your battery warm and ready to charge in cold weather. • 48V LiFePO4 Battery

One Basen 24V 100Ah lithium battery equals two 12V 100Ah lithium batteries, 24V higher voltage and 2.56kWh capacity mean that you could build your battery system with easier operation and no worry about batteries connection.

 

Basen 24V 100Ah lithium battery builds in 100A BMS to protect from overcharging & discharging, over current, short circuit, and over temp. Green energy, non-toxic. 5 hours fully charged by a 24V(29.2V) 20A dedicated LiFePO4 battery charger and within one day by a solar panel more than 900W. Basen 24V 100Ah supports max 4P connection to reach up to 10.24kWh, perfect for solar home systems, backup power, off-grid living, etc.

 

 

The Chemistry: LiFePO4 Batteries

 

Our batteries use the safest lithium chemistry on the market. The cells are composed of lithium iron phosphate, which is commonly referred to as LiFePO4. Lithium iron phosphate is more chemically stable, green, and sustainable when compared to other lithium chemistries. LiFePO4 batteries do not easily undergo thermal runaway either which is a great benefit. Thermal runaway is a process where the battery charger does not have any temperature control or the ability to properly function.   

All our products are certified through a process that is tested by 3rd party laboratories. There are a variety of standards that we comply with, namely Underwriters Laboratories, a global safety certification company commonly known as UL. We have ISO 9001 quality management system certification, CE, UN 38.3, MSDS, IEC and other international certifications. Basengreen has obtained 12 patents, and is asserted as National High and New Technical Enterprise.

 

 

Our batteries also get listings for complying with international sales. This includes the IEC 62113 standard and the Department of Transportation listing of 38.3, which is necessary to ship our battery. The IEC listing is for the safe operation of portable sealed secondary cells and batteries.  

 

Internal BMS: The Battery Management System

 

Our batteries are unique because they all contain a Battery Management System, or BMS, internally built–in. The BMS protects your battery and its components. The BMS protects you and your battery system from any strenuous circumstances you might encounter. When the voltage gets too high in a system, it leads to a reduced battery lifespan and safety issues.

 

 

An internal BMS is best for batteries when compared to external options. This is because it offers built-in protection that you don’t have to worry and can focus on your adventures. It helps with long term cycling by monitoring voltage, currents, and temperature extremes. When the voltage gets too high in a system, your battery lifespan can be prematurely reduced. It can also create potential safety issues.

The Basengreen internal BMS has low and high-temperature cutoffs. Our batteries discharge between –20℃and 65℃, and charge between  –20℃and 65℃. When the temperature falls outside of these safe ranges, the BMS shuts it down to prevent any damage.

 

Can Basengreen Lithium Batteries Be Mounted On Their Side?

 

Another reason our lithium-ion batteries work more efficiently in systems when compared to lead–acid is their ability to be mounted in any position. The orientation isn’t relevant to their safety and performance of our LiFePO4 batteries. It doesn’t affect the electrolytes in any way. The batteries are designed to be drop-in replacements for lead–acid in their specific form factors.

They can also safely be mounted inside, unlike lead–acid batteries, so there’s no need for them to constantly be exposed to the elements. Customers often install our batteries in applications subjected to rocky terrain and choppy waters. Basengreen Batteries can handle vibration and are tested to handle the most extreme limits.
